I would like a "Recommended for you" section on the front page (Like the one youtube has) It would give some of the underrated scratchers a bit more popular

I think it'd be great for Scratch to suggest projects based on ones that you've viewed and liked in the past. I think it would make finding projects that interest you much easier. Good idea!

Yes, but it'd take a ton of work to make the system that links together alike projects...
Why? It could simply be based on similar tags, or like amazon,
I personally lol-ed at that image

XD
But this suggestion has come up before (a similar one.)
The problem is that that would encourage people to spam tags even more. Because if one tag is tagged waffles, the rest of the projects with tag "waffles" will show up.
People will put random tags to get in that section...

Thanks for everyone's input! I think it would say "Recommended for you" on top and 3 projects related to your last one.

Epic xD
But kaybee is right. But oh well, tags is already a problem. I constantly see projects with random tags (For example, platformers about soup (O_o) having a tag about ____ was here)

Well, other sites like Youtube seem to manage.
Maybe it would be based not only on tags, but also what other people searching for similar projects viewed?

You could add tags that you like to your "tag collection", and projects that share at least 2 tags with your collection are put there. Or, if you plus1 a tag 5 times on different projects, it gets added. (So if you plus1 "waffles", you get random junk on your front page, teaching people not to plus1 stupid tags.) This could also be used to compare two projects: two projects that share 2 tags with each other and with your collection are similar and the user probably likes that type of project.

I want to bump this up, because it's a very good suggestion!

Love the idea! It will attract positive attention towards projects of all kinds. I, personally, would like to have something like that because I love finding new projects I'm interested in! Plus, it would bring more views to underrated Scratchers, like you said.

No, then it should be based on love its, not tags.
Projects with love-its are not necessarily related...
Do they need to be? With tags, it'd be horrible, as the creator can spam up tags, as with love-its, only others (Well, other accounts) could love-it.
And I'd rather have more of a mix. It could be, people that loved this project also loved ____, not mattering if it's the same type or not. Maybe one with the same tags would get a higher priority.

I think that when you upload a project (maybe instead of the tags idea )under the tags area theres like 15 different subjects your project could be on and you can only choose two? I dont know its just an idea

Maybe you just need people like moderators, but just moderate the "alikeness tags". They also add the "alikeness tags"... Many people are willing to do that, I know (such as people who wants to be mods but aren't 14 or don't have parent permission.) this would be sort of like the responsibility of a mod (requires a lot of work) but wouldn't be as serious as one (sort of like a curator)

That could work but then we would just be adding more work for the scratch team and they already work hard enough.

maybe you could only add 5 tags so that way you have to choose wisely

yeagh I agree with you
