I have seen many people try lately to reupload projects but many people are having troubles with it.
I know it is not just my computer because I have seen lots of people having this problem.
I had this problem the other day.
It said the project was successfully uploaded but when I viewed the project, the changes were not there until a day later.
I know that there is another post here with a similar name.
I think this is a new big problem on scratch. I say we try fixing it or getting more info about it before it becomes a big problem.
Try testing it out, and if it happens to you or occurs, fill the next part out-
What is the date that the problem occured?
What time did this happen?
What happened when you tried uploading?
Explain what happened or anything else you want to say.
Let's crush this bug.

I uploaded it, then i looked at it, but it was the same.

To fix it, you just have to give the project you want to upload a different name.

What happened when you tried uploading? The normal.
Explain what happened or anything else you want to say. Well, I uploaded my Scratch Block Colouring Contest on my side account, Cassiedragon, accidentally. I deleted it from Cassiedragon then re-uploaded on Guinea_Pig_Girl. I then realized that it said "Based on Cassiedragon's project" so I did the import-project trick and moved the buttons a little bit, then I uploaded again. The changes didn't show up.

What happened when you tried uploading? Normal Upload

I tried to update (Reupload with same name) my project, but upon viewing the project, it retained the old version.
this also happened on my other account

What happened when you tried uploading? Uploaded the project under an existing name, Scratch said the normal "your project is online at scratch.mit.edu", but the update was not there, everything was the same.
Explain what happened or anything else you want to say. I was working on my floorcaster project, an engine I'm building to make a 3D race game (similar to nintendo mode 7), and because it is too slow offline, I always upload to see if it works. I was changing a mistake I made with movement when I realized the changes I made were not working. I decided to go to forums and saw a similar topic. I gave my experience to the topic and hoped for the best. The next day, I tried again. This time, the update did not appear until an hour later. I also tried deleting the project and reuploading under the same name, but not working. Because of that I still can't work on my project, since online is the only place it can work. I tried every day and still not working for me. I can't work on my project until this is fixed!!!

JJROCKER, I saw that you said in another forum post that Scratch switched one of their servers with a new one. Where did you find out and when did they switch? This could be the reason with the upload problems: when uploading, the new server might not completely be connected to the old servers, so it is confused where to save the new information. When the site accesses the projects from the servers, there too, the site may be confused which servers to take the project from.
EDIT: found the the forum post stating the server change. It happened on July 20. The first instance of this problem was Aug 12

It's only the flash player, I tried it out with JAVA, the update appears there normally. Only flash seems to not update normally.
Good information.
Hey JJ - this thread is a smashing example of excellent systematic glitch reporting. My hat is off to you, sir.
We're looking into this right now....

Thanks! I hope it is an easy fix!
While your working on the updating problem, have you seen my idea for projects when you update them?

I made this http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/JJROCKER2/1981737 To help with the bug. Use Java Player right now because Flash still has not updated it.
What I found out so far-
Java and the Project Notes update right away
Flash still has not updated it

I've seen Paddle2See and Lightnin talking about the new Flash player version. I think it has started since v27 if I'm not mistaken

I'm on an iPod so I can only see thumbnails, and the thumbnails for Flash and Java are the same

Thumbnails usually take 2 days to update.

i know 1 of the best ideas yet all that needs to happen is scratch.mit.edu has to make when ppl sign up to have something to make the viruse or bug not know how to make a free account then less lag will come in to so who thinks this would be the best decision scratch would have to make something like do you know what _______ is the ____ would be a selection of popular things most ppl would know about there would be the arrow on the side then would show choises. anyway then it would say if so what do you know about it _____________ and you type in your answer then it will be submitted in a few days your account could have been made or it might not have depending if that was true what you could do on the thing that you chose hopefully scratch creators will think this is a good idea

You should really use punctuation
