Prologue
I am Blaze. This journal is the only thing I found in my backpack besides a copper pickaxe and an axe, and I plan to record my adventures on paper so if some adventurer may stumble upon this book, they will know how to find me. But hopefully, no adventurer will be unlucky enough to wind up here, because this the nightmare of a world called Terraria, where everything tries to kill you, and if it doesn't, it will.
Chapter One
I stare out at the sky, wondering how I got here. This place doesn't seem right. I head to the East, towards a large forest and a lake. "Nothing here seems right..." I remind myself as I look back into my backpack, and then I feel a sharp pain in my leg. I notice a small green creature chewing and pouncing on my leg, so I take out my axe and smash it.
Well, I am near trees, so... But the axe is really heavy...
I lift the axe and swing it. It's actually very light, and after a few swings, the whole tree collapses with branches falling down and acorns randomly hitting the ground. Someone throws an acorn at my head, so I throw my axe. It lands in the tree next to his head.
"Hey. I'm Max. Do you have anger issues or something, cause I think you do."
That just made me so mad... The adrenaline rush was so powerful, I scaled the tree in a few seconds. I yanked the axe out of the tree and swung at his head, and he ducked and said, "Calm down! I know what you're going through, my first day was tough, too."
Chapter Two
As the sun slowly sets, Max says I should take some of the gel the creature left and light it on fire to make torches. I stick some gel on a stick and light it by stroking it against a rock. He starts putting up wood, so I do the same, and he reminds me night is coming. I remember him mentioning a workbench, so I ask him how to make one. He says you only need a few pieces of wood. So I make it as instructed, and he says to make walls. I still have a fair amount of wood, so I slowly attach walls to the back of the cabin. I put on the roof and sit on the floor, tired.
"Oh, you'll also need this." he says, handing me a door that I fasten on to the walls.
"Thanks." I hear a groan from outside, and I see a mysterious figure beating on the door.
"Stay away from things like that." he says. "That's a zombie, someone who you'll see very often now."
"I thought they were only in movies!" I say, and kick a zombie that almost gets in.
"I'm gonna board the door up, we should stay here until day."
The ground started shaking violently, and I was thrown into the wall.
"Earthquake!" I yelled.
"No, it's a worm—" said Max, standing in a defensive position.
And that's when it happened. A giant worm shot through the ground and tore a hole in the floor, that quickly sealed up after it left the hole. Max punched it to keep it away from us. "Quickly, make a sword! Just a handle and a sharp piece of wood, that's all it takes. Now KILL THAT THING!"
Chapter 3
It took a while, but after several jabs, it was dead. Scales, teeth and rotten chunks littered the ground and I picked them up and put them in my pack.
"I'm glad you got all of that. It'll be useful."
He takes down the boards and steps outside and plucks some mushrooms from the ground.
"Here, have a few. They're edible."
I take one and eat it. I'm feeling a bit more confident— maybe I can get some supplies. I open up the door and a small pink creature jumps into the room.
"It's a pinky slime!" yells Max.
"A what?"
"Kill it!"
I decide not to, and I make a small wooden cage for it.
"See? It's not that bad!"
Max shakes his head and says, "Fine, you can keep it." He sighs, and sits down.

I know how you feel with people not giving feedback when you're writing :L (click sig) It was quite good, I liked it! But why does he have these anger problems? That's if he does have anger problems... Oh and instead of saying 'attacking', maybe you want to say how the green thing attacked, to develop a slight more understanding look of the creature. Like if you say nipping, the reader could picture fangs or sharp teeth on the blob.
Hope I helped! Can't wait for the next chapter!

I don't really like video game fanfictions, and especially not ones of games without story. To me, it's equivalent to a Candy Land fanfiction. *shudders*
