We've changed the name of our old Terms of Use page to Community Guidelines.
Why? Most sites have a ton of legal mumbo jumbo on their 'Terms of Use' pages, so when people see 'Terms of Use,' they expect pages and pages of boring legal stuff. So they don't click (and who can blame them?)
But our Terms of Use have always been pretty brief, simple, and never had much jargon. Several people have pointed out that they seem more like Community Guidelines than Terms of Use. We agree - hence the change.
Aside from the name change, they're pretty much the same as they ever were. If you haven't read them before, check them out here:
http://scratch.mit.edu/redirect/terms
Or just click the link at the bottom of every page on Scratch.

Nice. (first page!) lol. That was a great idea.

Great idea!
I know that that statement is 100% true. That's why I didn't read it either at first

Ooh, this needs to go on the wiki
Why didn't you do it yesterday?
>_>
1. Yesterday? It's still today for me.
2. Just because I don't do it instantly doesn't mean I won't do it sometime else, eh? I had a friend come over soon after and then I went to an art class and blah blah blah.
3. And yeah yeah yeah I would have done it but you did it by now.

Oops forgot about your timezone.
Oh... I forgot some people have lives outside of Scratch. >.<
Would I really leave something so long? xP Well, will you update the blog on the Current Events? I have no idea what to write. >_>

Good choice. I'm a fan of ToU, so I scan them all before accepting. But many people don't like to waste time like me, so the community guidelines are much more appealing than terms of use.
Also, I checked the signup page. Good job updating that too

I think changing that was a good idea. Most people don't click terms of use buttons unless they're lawyers or something.
