I think that there should be a Fast Forward block in addition to the sound blocks catagory when scratch 2.0 comes out. It would allow you skip to a certain point in a sound intantly when used in scripts. Its layout would be the following:

FAST FORWARD ( ) SECS

Whole numbers, decimals and variables would be able to be placed in the ( ) section.

You could use it to skip through a sound like this:

PLAY SOUND ( )

then,

FAST FORWARD ( ) SECS

I also think that a Stop Sound Block would be a good addition to the sound blocks catagory. Its layout would be the following:

STOP SOUND ( )

It would allow you to stop a specific sound instead of all of the ones currently playing.

The Fast Forward Sound Block and Stop Sound Block used together could allow you to easily crop a sound to your liking.
