Scratch

Here is something I got from the mesh wiki.

Programming with Mesh is the same as programming without it - the interface is the same as always. But when a Mesh session is in activity, it changes:
Broadcasts are received on all Scratch programs.
Each Scratch program's variables are available for use on the others.
If a broadcast is created on one Scratch program, it does not show up in the broadcast list on the other Scratch programs - however, broadcasts will still be received on all Scratch programs. To create a broadcast for use in all Scratch programs, the broadcast has to be made on each Scratch program.
To use variables that are from a different Scratch program, the () Sensor Value block can be used - all the variables from the other Scratch programs will show in the drop-down menu. That is the only place they will be available - the Variables section will only show the variables made on the Scratch program that is being used.



So, to use mesh, you need a way for two computers to communicate. The most popular way, is to use a program called log-me-in hamachi. (Just google it to download it) When two or more people wanted to play our game, they would join the same network. Once they do that, each person would have to download our game. Usually each player would have to download a different project. For an example, there may be a 'player 1', and a 'player 2' project. Another way mesh can be used, is like I used it for my scratch messenger. (You can see it in my signature). If mesh seems too complicated, we can make our project something else. It's up to you.

also how do you create your own block ti do things regular blocks wouldnt?

maybe we could do basic games ike pong and you can play against your friends?

well this is what I thought there would be a chat room where you could host tournaments etc. and 5 of the original video games woud be on it for example pong. If this idea has already been done then your right we shopuld brainstorm new game ideasXD
