There are no sound files n my scrach proramme after installing it. When i place the play sound block the only option in the drop down list is "record". is this normal? from where can i download sound files to scratch? Please help!

When in the sounds menu of the sprite or background, there should be 2 options when you don't have any sounds "Record" and "Import"

you record with a microphone, and it will save the file on that scratch program

You import by taking a file that's saved on your computer and bringing it into scratch.
