Firedust will be released soon.
Applications are closed now. Six people have been chosen to test Firedust. Don't worry if you weren't chosen, you'll get a chance when Firedust is released to the public!
Please see this post for results.
Good afternoon, Scratchers
As some of you might now, I have been developing SilviSoft Firedust (my new VB-based OS shell) for quite some time now. I have reached the beta stage, and would like to have it fully tested before I release it to the public.
Therefore, I am looking for five testers to try out Firedust Home Basic Beta. "But why post in Advanced Topics?" you might say. There's a reason, and I'm really excited because of it too: Firedust has its own programming languages!
The first is a simple console language called FCS. It includes a block-based IDE like Scratch called Fireblocks, which compiles the code and sends it to the console to execute. The second is a full, semi-OOP, event-based programming language called FireScript (FSP) for creating integrated windowed programs.
I would like you to make a few programs of different sorts for each language, and tell me what needs adding or what doesn't work.
If you would like to be a tester, keep in mind you will also have to try out all the rest of Firedust's features. I'd also like it if you knew some french or italian, so that you could test my translations. You also need to be contactable by email or Skype, and have Windows.
For those who are interested, please apply below with the following form (I wouldn't normally do this, but I'd like to avoid choosing people who don't know what a semi-colon is). Just as a teaser, check out this photo

how did you create the silvisoft os?
From what he said I think using vb. (visual basic) which is why it's windows only.

It's hard to know but if the fact that his close, maximise and minimise buttons look different is what is confusing you; it's probably because he has a theme installed. Anyway, this is going offtopic
To go even more offtopic, I could say something like what game are you playing with your grandma? But I'm not gooing to *winks*

My windows are different because they're completely custom -- I'm not using Windows Forms here, I'm using many custom user controls made entirely by me.
Not off-topic at all! And if you asked that question, I would reply Briscola

And you know my email already, so it'll be easy to contact you
I'll post my application tomorrow. My phone doesn't like your long post (it cuts it off), I'm wearing its battery down, I'm prolly getting tons of per-MB charges because I don't have a data plan, and I'm not supposed to be on in the first place
Anyway, just letting you know I'm available.

Looks pretty cool, a Scratch for for terminals. xD Since I know very little of VB, I think I'll just wait until the public version comes out.
