It's an album (with a title track) but it's basically about her.

Anyways, what's this about her being LGBT?

If you read her diary, she's definitely bisexual.

Yes, I'm Bi. Lady Gaga has inspired me to be proud of that. Even when my best friend called me a *, which is a horrible word.

Gol, are you sure he's your best friend if he's calling you that?
One of my best friends has willingly admitted to me that she's transgender, and she said her grandma is really really against that.

What is there to be proud of? You're attracted to both genders. And? Homosexuality/bisexuality is no big deal, but you're treating it like it is, which is only making your position worse.

No, were treating it like we're not ashamed of it like most people want us to be. We're who we want to be, and THAT is what we are proud of.

Bump!
And I agree with jeff's post above.

People can be proud of whatever they want. Stop trying to put your standards over everything

So, you're basically saying you shouldn't be proud of what's different about you?

Proud that he can come out openly about it. You clearly have no idea how hard it can be for LGBT people to come out to family and friends about it. Just the other day, my friend Kane (who is gay) told his mother that he is transexual. He was crying, just like he cried when he told her he was gay. Also, when everyone is putting you down because of your sexuality, you HAVE to stick with who you are and BE proud of who you are. Proud of the fact that you aren't afraid of how others will treat you. Proud TO BE YOURSELF.

That's fine, but being proud for being homosexual just seems to be dumb. It's like being proud to be a certain gender or race. Yes, I believe those are basically the same thing, because you can't help all three of them.

You're pushing it. You're really pushing it.
What is feminism, then?
The reason people don't brag about race is because of not wanting to offend others, something you seem to like doing. If you treasure who you are, people will like you for who you are. If you treasure yourself, you can live life to the fullest knowing that you are exactly who you want to be.
Also, by saying "loving yourself is stupid", you just opened up the flame floodgates to people with low confidence/self-esteem and people who attempt suicide... Have fun in your den of lions!
But I digress.

You need to be proud of who you are, whoever you are. If you aren't proud of that, you're going to not be very successful in the future.
