Delete our own comments on projects

I think we should be able to delete our own comments on projects because
-Typo (cst)
-Outdated (Glitch fixed)
-Mistake

um...

Re: Delete our own comments on projects

Agreed, I find myself many times posting something like "Great project, but I think you should add this" to find a minute later it has already been implemented  hmm

Re: Delete our own comments on projects

Personally, I agree with this, but here's why it probably isn't going to happen.

There's always the possibility that people could post mean or inappropriate comments, then delete them before they can get in trouble for them. The same thing is said about editing comments.

This is another one of those scenarios where I think most people would use it for good purposes, but the few people who would abuse it would ruin it for those who use it properly.  sad

Ranks on the website, New Scratchers not being able to do it and Scratchers being able to?  hmm

Nope, this is no good. Then people could say something mean or innapropriate and wait for the other person to see it and then when they want to flag it, delete it. But I see what you mean. Just that it would help, yet cause problems at the same time.

On the forums, managing who gets upgraded to 'Scratcher' is doable because of the relatively low userbase. On the rest of the site, however, there are just way too many users for that to be a feasible option. Unfortunately, you'll probably have to live with not being able to delete comments. You can always reply to your original comment saying that you noticed something you didn't before though.

But it takes up space  tongue
Yeah, I see what you're saying. And also, it's possible because punbb-hosting has ranks implemented, you just have to edit it-On the website it would probably take a week of working a ton on it. And it would probably lag the whole website. So yeah, that's a big no  tongue
So I guess I don't support, though it would be cool if not  tongue
But also, people don't know if someone reported it. Wouldn't someone just be able to not reply, and report, that way having the person who put the comment not know he/she read it?
