Re: Team Earth

Ive added some sunspot and solar flare animations to the dwarf and the giant. theseare just tests in 2.12(5). im worried that the animation might drasticly slow down the scripts if we add one in each star.

BTW i look now and weve gone a long ways from "bobs bad haitcut"  Great job team!

I actually already programmed a shop. It's in dropbox. That would be a whole screen, like the map though, and you would pause the game to enter the shop. My shop would need modifications though, if we were to use it. We could do a different one though. And yes, I'll make a scroll limit at the edge of the map.

I know your shop. I just thought we needed a the costume of a little sprite, that is on the normal flight mode and on the map, which sends a message to the shop window to appear, if the ship touches it. For this sprite we'd need two costumes (flight mode and a smaller one for the map). So before we can implement the shop, we first need to do the art and the programming of this sprite. That was actually my request.

BTW: I think, that the member list on the top of the first page is very outdated. What about asking Kamesh to update it a bit with all the active members from these days?

I don't think that's possible.

Can anyone upload a .txt data with the usernames and passwords of the team earth dropbox and the scratch account? Everyone could download it then and wouldn't need to ask if he/she forgets or doesn't even the things.

I like the animation. I think we'll need to move to turbo mode anyway. But before we think about the animation, we have to wait until Thrystor is done with his programming. That's more important.

OK. These are the next things in chronological order.

We need to:

1. Implement a scrolling limit (Thrystor)
2. Implement some more stars (Thrystor)
3. Slow down moving background (Thrystor)
4. Simplify flying engine (Thrystor)

5. Add / Improve star animation (Christian)
6. Change physics for Turbo Mode (?)

7. Draw shop (?)
8. Implement / Improve Thrystor's shop fragment (?)

...
Of course Thrystor doesn't have to do nearly everything. I just thought he'd be interested, because he's one of our best programmers. The fifth plan might effect, that the game will slow down, so I'm not sure if we should really do this.

we can report the post asking an admin to change it. Ive seen it happen. Once i changed a post from my cousin's account to mine (i accidentally forgot to log out at his house  tongue )

Or just leaving a comment on one of Kamesh's projects asking to edit his post. We might have to wait a bit until he checks his notifications again, but I think this would be the easiest solution.

I added the scroll limit to the version with the star animations. Now if you go to one end of the map, you come out on the other. Our world is now round.

Now that I look at it, it probably wasn't me. "Old Drafts and Parts" is labeled pretty clearly.

No, I'll go and slow the background down now. I'll add more stars later.

Nevermind. I can't figure the scripts out. Unless I can come up with a better idea, the only solution is to copy the sprites. Could you look at the scripts and try to figure it out?

Re: Team Earth

Thanks, Thrystor. And no I didn't figure the right programming out either. We should concentrate more on other things until someone knows how to. I just worked a bit on a credits section and some bugfixes (V: 0.2.14). As I see, we need the stars and the drawing of the shop next.
