Oh and so Thrystor and others who can't get to dropbox will know what's going on with dropbox, let's make it a rule that whenever we upload or update a draft (e.g. DRAFT1) of our project on dropbox, always upload a copy on the test account. How does that sound?

Doesn't that just mean there's no point having the Dropbox?

I don't see why it's so difficult. Everyone else can get into the Dropbox; surely the solution is to get Thrystor the password as well?  smile

Agreed... Isn't the whole point of dropbox to keep people from seeing the drafts?

Re: Team Earth

Hmm... About getting the dropbox password... I don't know. I think I know the first part of it, but not the rest. You could post a list of a LOT of random gibberish, and then I would be able to figure out which part is the part I need based on what I know. I don't know if anyone will like that solution, but it's the only good one I can think of. Or you could do the same thing but put it all into random scratch blocks in a project that doesn't do anything to make it less visible.

I have two ideas:

1.) We post the password backwards in a foreign language (safety level: low)

2.) Hey, maybe you can go through Kamesh's scratch quest! I can put a link to the password on the last project in the scratch quest. Just go here, I kind of accidently gave everyone a head start by posting clue number four accidently. If I were you, just go from that clue. As soon as you get it, tell me, then I will delete it right away. How does that sound?  lol  I don't think anyone can follow us that much, because his contest was pretty hard. (safety level: high)

But I won at it!

By the way, I posted Thrystor's space base to dropbox.

Re: Team Earth

Just make a new real email account (GMail, or something?), post the address here, and I'll email you the password. There's no other way of getting the password to you without everyone else seeing it.

Yup. Ads's ideas weren't bad, but I think this is the safest and easiest solution.

I'll try making another e-mail account. Then I can reuse it for other Scratch stuff.

Gmail won't let me, even if I say I was born in 1990. There must be something I don't know about that's letting it know how old I am

Re: Team Earth

I'm pretty sure Hotmail would do the same thing. According to Gmail, there's some law about it. I can probably get my parents to set one up for me.

Sent you the Dropbox details (:

Edit: or, at least, I tried to. It rejected the email address...

I copy/pasted it, so I doubt it was the spelling. I tried thrystor.scratch@verizon.net  smile

Cool. I'm putting "DRAFT1", the shop and "ALONE" together. I'll name it "DRAFT2". What about making a new folder called "Drafts and game fragments" to keep things clear?

EDIT: I wont add the shop until we haven't done the programming for reaching and getting in it. I fixed some bugs and added a moving background, that makes the flying experience even more realistic.

DONE! Please check it out.

Re: Team Earth

ACK!
I am REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry, I have been REALLY BUSY. I am not as busy now (winter break), and I would like to help, if I'm still on the team.

You don't have to put me in the credits.

If I can't help, I would like to collab to make the next game.

Sorry.

I mean it.

Re: Team Earth

I have an idea: To let the others see what's new, make a commend at the scripting area of the stage listing every difference to the previous version.

Re: Team Earth

New version 2.1 is out. As I announced, I mentioned all the differences in the scripting area of the stage.

Not much. We simply started working on the game. If you want to play (it's already playable) the latest version, go into our dropbox, open the file "game drafts and fragments" and download "Draft2.1".

Re: Team Earth

Hey Guys, I just noticed Draft 2.1 and all our previous drafts don't allow our spaceship to go left and right. I would fix this, but I don't want to mess up any of the scripts.
