I have a Python script somewhere that refreshes this thread and reads out any new posts to me. The hard part was automatically noticing new pages.
I'm sure it could be adapted for your purpose, but it would need somewhere to host it...

I did send it again, I think. I hope it worked...

Hey guys, I just made the most EPIC intro for our Elite game. It has music and everything. However, there is one problem: the file is 5.5 MB, which would take up over half our project. I know the problem's not the music; it's the sprites and costumes. But before I change it, I'll put it on dropbox for you guys to see later. I think our intro should be no bigger than 2 MB. If we can't condense it without taking out the music, we can always use it as a teaser.
Hey, could someone send me the password again. I promise, this will be the last time I ask.

Yea it does. Thanks! That is the last time I'll ask. Now view my TeamEarth Intro. I will post a compressed one later.

Hey, you're back on! It's teamearth.scratch@gmail.com
Oh, there's a scratcher who wants to join TeamEarth, but he didn't enter your first contest in time. Is there any way he can join? His name is pokechued.
Don't forget to check out my TeamEarth Intro (or Teaser if it's too big).

I loved the intro, especially the part with all of the comments. Were you planning to use this as a trailer for our upcoming project?
Yes, as a matter of a fact I was. We Can put it on our TeamEarth account. And the part where it says, "This is what you've been waiting for" we can make some artwork for an Elite promo, and say coming soon, or something like that.

Do we have a list of all the people who wanted to join? We don't want to many people, so having a list might help to narrow it down...

I' about to narrow it down. Also, I'll start working on a logo for the game. And Blob, could you make a list of sprites we need? (So we can start the artwork)

Hey guys, I'm going to tell you EVERYONE who wants to join TeamEarth (In alphabetical order). Before I start listing names, dasbloekendeschaf thinks he's been kicked out of TeamEarth. Kamesh, you should talk to him so he doesn't get the wrong message.
Okay, here are the people you told could be replacements for Collab-Camp 2011:
Jhylands
Slinger
ttyl123
Here are the people who wanted to enter TeamEarth, but didn't take stage 1 in time:
Pokechued (Had The Right Answers)
Sausagefanclub
Scratchycat123
Finally, here are the people who entered stage 1 ('?' means I'm not sure if they Won or Lost):
Won
AngelWolf99 (?)
Infinite_minus_zero
Thrystor
Tkrandomness
Yoyoscratch2
Lost
369703 (?)
ImagineIt
Kmagicmaster3
Liana2001
LittleWarrior12

I'm curious, how does a BUS tell you anything about programming ability?

Kamesh, IMO, I would have TeamEarth Vote on who should join us. We have 9 members right now, so this makes perfect sense (there can never be a tie):
First, I would take the sixteen people I listed who wanted to join, and tell them to pick one of their projects that best showing their programming talents. Then, out of those 16 people, You could rank each of their projects 1-16, then form a bracket like this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1
16
2
15
3
14
4
13
5
12
6
11
7
10
8
9
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, the 9 TeamEarth would vote on which project they think is the best from each matchup in each round. Depending on how many people you want to join TeamEarth you can have 2 rounds if you want 4 people, 3 rounds if you want 2 people, or 4 rounds if you want one person.

Why can't we just choose, or ask them to choose, their best project?
Also, I can't figure out a way to vote on new users without offending anyone.

Yea, that's a better idea. Ask them to choose their best project. Well, think about it like this: How CAN we vote on anyone if we don't want to offend them?
OH! I know. You know how some professional sports leagues have a 'minor' or 'developmental' league? We could kind of form that kind of systemfor TeamEarth. We could call it ,uh....Developmental TeamEarth. There could be different levels of teams (i.e. B-Team, C-Team) if we get an overflow of people who want to join TeamEarth. All the people who lose in the contest could be sent here. Kamesh could check up on them, choose one of us to mentor/monitor them. We could create an account for them, and they can make their own projects. Kamesh can get them started by giving them different goals, incintives and everything. Once Kamesh notices someone on a Developmental TeamEarth team is ready to join TeamEarth, we can all vote to see if they are ready to be apart of TeamEarth. We would also do the same thing if someone from C-Team needs to join B-Team. How do you like that?

Not really. What if we made a quiz which had programming questions in it, and the people who got the highest code scores could join?

Why dont you have apprentices, and when they do very well, let them join. That way no one is left out
