Good Idea for 2.0

When we're on the Sprite Editor, we should be able to see what the finished product would be like on the stage. This would help in trying to divide items up, by painting a NEW sprite.  big_smile   There wuold be a checkbox to enable/disable this feature, so people dont get distracted.

Re: Good Idea for 2.0

So, if I'm understanding it correctly, the sprite will be drawn on the stage as you draw it, and you can move it around and modify it while it's being drawn? That actually sounds pretty cool - and useful.  smile

Re: Good Idea for 2.0

That's pretty cool! The only concern is that it might make Scratch slow. 3:

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Good Idea for 2.0

You cant move the sprite your making with the paint editor, but you can use it for modifying how things will look without exiting the paint editor, so if you dont like somthing, you can try stuff out and them modify again if you dont like. This feels like my best thread yet.

Yes, I support, becuase EVERY time I make a sprite I have to go back and resize it.

Re: Good Idea for 2.0

I agree completely and would love to see this feature, but some people may not want to be distracted by their sprite changing as they draw it.  I think there should be a checkmark box in the paint editor to enable/disable this feature.

Well maybe you could have an option of having the editor or not?
