People don't really play FPS games for the blood and stuff like that, they play them for the gameplay, the skill, the fast pace and the tactics involved in them.

Tactics involved in achieving your goal (which isn't always killing something) more efficiently

Exactly. And I'm over 12, but I don't play most 12 (that's what it's called in England, at least) rated games. I think the only 12 rated game I'm fine with playing is Tron Evolution. I'd NEVER want to play a game which involves committing acts of violence.

sorry to bust in on this reply chain, but I'm 11 and I play TF2. Before this, the most violent game I had was SSBB. But it still satisfies me. Know why? BECAUSE NOBODY ACTUALLY PLAYS FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF SEEING VIRTUAL VIOLENCE. I PLAY FOR GAMEPLAY. If a game that was OK by your standards was anything above the fun level of SMB: TLL, I would SMASH MY FACE IN.

Oh, and to get them to buy it for you. Just recite this simple fact: TF2 is only rated M because it was rated in 2006. If it were just made yesterday; It would be rated T. The rating system was much harder than necessary back then.

I play the games that I said above (though not as frequently linked together big_smile ) but it's not that I enjoy chucking heads off people. First of all how many times do I have to post the definition of First Person Shooter;
A first person shooter is any videogame in which you play as a character with a gun and your aim is to shoot people, wether you have the perspective of seeing through your characters eyes or from a camera angle.

Secon of all you have to realize the setting of Team Fortress 2; a war ground. In a war. Granted wars are terrible, and it wuld be much better if verbal peace could be attained, but wars happen and this is just a simulation of one, which could be pro of against the game.

EDIT; If a soldier is killed in battle in Afgan, did not the Taliban murder him?
