Need Help

Before I introduce myself, I wanted to ask an urgent question. I'm working on a game using and I wanted give the game maker credit, so here's what I did:

I would use the Scratch Cat for the Credits and the normal logo for the Front. Would this be considered a copyright violation or can I keep it there?

Thanks,

Re: Need Help

Using the Scratch Cat or Scratch Logo is free, I think. They are under a creative commons license, which means you can use them freely.  smile

Re: Need Help

Besides, since Scratch is an educational site, copyright isn't really a huge problem. If you look, you'll see a good number of projects that contain characters from books/tv shows/movies/ect.
from the copyright policy link (at the bottom of the page):

In assessing whether or not a Scratch user has violated your copyrights, please keep in mind that Scratch is an educational and not-for-profit initiative, seeking to aid children’s learning by providing the tools for them to learn and express themselves using digital technology. Please also keep in mind the “Fair Use” doctrine incorporated into the Copyright Act of 1976, 17 U.S.C. § 107.
