1. Nobody "owns someone with their block person" in minecraft so you probably never played it, 2. Most people just make a new topic to advertise a server, and 3. New topics are generally only made when the post would get swamped and ignored on the OMT. Also, nobody complains about the 500 pokemon topics (unless it's somelia) so why are you picking on minecraft?

    Miscellaneous means what it looks like it means. This means anything not related to Scratch. So, simply put, Minecraft topics go here. Now, to those of you who object:

Well, even if he made it to be so, most people have indeed turned over their discussions to that topic. HOWEVER: There is ABSOLUTELY NO RULE that says that you MUST put all discussion in that topic. People only need to follow the rules of the Scratch Team, not other Scratchers. Wouldn't it be wierd if I suddenly started telling you to 'Hey, delete all your pokemon threads, and put it in an official thread or whatever. If you don't Im gonna ban you' ?
    Obviously, nobody would like that. Of course, it could invoke the anger of other Scratchers *ahemhelltankahem*, but whether they become angry or not is completely their decision. Heck, I could start raging if I wanted to if a random person made a topic about Disney or something. Actually, when there are topics like the 'stop the horde!' topics made, most likely, the author of the post knows and fully intends to use it as flamebait. Obviously, nothing much will happen, because people will keep on posting more topics, just because they can, and also to show the author that they don't care if there are over 9000 minecraft topics out there.
    So just stop with the 'OMGOMGOMG STOP POSTING ABOUT MINECRAFT' topics. It definitely will cause flamed arguments and people like me to rant, rant, rant. If you want to stop those cluttered posts so much, learn JavaScript and get rid of ALL posts containing the word Minecraft. If you are too lazy, learn to cope with it.

I see it like this. Haters notice what they hate.

If people dislike Minecraft, they don't want to hear about it, but notice there are several topics about it. Now someone who loves the game find this amount acceptable.

I dislike Pokemon, I notice that not only does every thread have some sort of reference there is a huge obsession with it on the forums in an entirety (aka not just misc). I'm upset at this mass amount because that's not what I want to discuss. Just like how the Minecraft dislikers get.

As for whether the Minecraft topics (or Pokemon, or whatever) are allowed in Miscellaneous in the first place, the answer currently  is "Yes".  We are allowing pretty much any topic (with the exception of the ones listed in the Guidelines) that doesn't fit well in the other Scratch forums in Miscellaneous.

We already have an official minecraft servers - It's that if all the servers stayed in one topic it would be to hard to organise - we always use the OP for rules and stuff 

For it to be an official Minecraft server topic, I would like to add that it could perhaps be an iTopic? Considering the single topics dedicated to one server.

misc has "died" so many times i've lost count

I remember the Dragon Egg Fad. It wasn't so bad, because other than the Dragon Egg Hatchery and cluttering of signatures belonging to other people, I didn't see much of it at all. I even had a Dragon Egg, briefly.

I don't even think the "Am I famous?" topics were a fad. Just something a few people posted and that got blown out of proportion.
