I hate that quite a lot. Example:

No. Scratch Team would never let us have 5 second rule. Maybe a 15 second rule. But we could use a 30 second rule.

There is a 60 second rule in order to decrease SEO spam. It makes Scratch better. Plus, be thankful that it's not the 360 second rule for you.

Dude, I'm only saying that because we get so many replies, but the stupid 60 second rule doesn't let us post them fast enough. 30 seconds does decrease spam. And normal people can make a forum post in 30 seconds.

I like the 60 second rule. It makes it so less moderation is required.

You only like it because you're not famous, so you don't have to reply to 10 comments or more.

[unnecessary spaced removed by moderator]Reported for spamming up the topic.
It isn't spam, it's supposed to be random.
Hence, it is spam.

it's spam. Posting that 100 times is spam.
And how do you know how many times I posted it? HMM?

Guestimating.
We understand your plea, but rants are unnecessary. Thank you for your time.

I do have trouble updating forum threads that I run due to the rule but I'm happy to put up with it for it's benifits. The other day in advanced topics we had someone posting links to... certain sites that aren't a good idea to post on the Scratch fora at all. He was a new Scratcher so he had the 180 second rule. He still had time to post the links on about six threads before a moderator logged in and saw my reports. Think how many topics he could have posted on with no rule at all!
It's worth putting up with to make the site safer and the moderator job easier

I'm quite fine with the 60 second rule. On this other forums, I have to wait 8 hours for my post to show up.

Please do not copy and paste to produce large blocks of text, it is annoying for moderators and users alike, and it most certainly is spam.
I understand your complaints, but there is no reason to make the job of moderators harder by copy-pasting uselessly.

Well, meaningfull replies normally take more than 60 seconds to type up. Just be glad we don't have a system where you can't post a project until after 2 days have passed and you can't have an avatar or use the forums for 24 hours after creating your account.

Some meaningful replies don't take 60 second to type up. I have typed up replies in 30 seconds.

I'm just saying a good number of them do. Not all of us can type as fast as you apparently
