Hummm, I have nothing against metal but I generally don't enjoy listening to it. I like listening to classical when I'm washing up or feeling a little down, and I always enjoy film music, I mean, Pirates of the Caribbean has amazing music! I also like just about every other type of music except rap and metal. Whilst I'm the first to point out that Rap takes a lot of skill to perform and write, I don't paricularly enjoy listening to it. Same goes for metal

A lot of metal bands also have political themes. Such as System of a Down (if you consider them metal) and Metallica.

Its true that most metal bands don't scream and if they do scream a lot they're Screamo not Metal.

Screaming doesn't make something screamo. And some good metal bands do scream, but it's not for the whole songs.
