Soup and 08jackt Collab

No, you can't join random stranger about to ask.

Anyway, I was thinking of a virtual rpg trading card game type thing, jack. Thoughts?

Yeah I got ideas for it.

The cards would be like on a field, and they could move and attack on the field during their turn in stuff.

I think we need to brainstorm first though.

do you want to make it at the start you choose a starter deck and then you buy more cards with money you earn from battles?

that was the kinda thing i was thinking.

Yeah, and you can trade and stuff.

I don't want just the battles though, there should definitely be like you can walk into different shops and talk to people stuff. I think we should have 4-5 key elements for starter decks.

or more like Dragon Fable, where you actually walk into shops and stuff like that?

Dragon Fable.

So that you can do quests and such y'know?

And we need to think about what card game this will resemble. I personally lean toward doing a Magic Gathering type thing, but if we wanted the system to be some novel thing basing it off a playing card like poker might work.

i think a magic gathering sort of style would fit it best.

we can make the traveling structure similar to pokemon; like in each city thing there's a gym leader kinda thing which you battle to earn a badge and them once you collect all the badges you play in some ultimate league thing or something.

then in between gym leaders (or what ever we decide to call them) you do little quests and stuff like that in forrests, ect.

So Magic and then the walking around in the world.

Personally I think more of a plot based way to implement the fights would be better.
