Based on some  your comments , we decided to make the view counter a bit more accurate, so a few days ago we introduced a new feature that records only one view per visit from a specific internet address (also known as IP address). This means that refreshing the project page multiple times from the same IP address now counts as only one view.

Unfortunately, when we introduced this feature we also introduced a bug that disabled the view count completely. We have fixed this now but you might see some inconsistencies in the count from projects uploaded between June 14 to June 16. For example, you might see that your project has been loved 3 times while it has only 1 views. This has been fixed and should not happen anymore though. Please reply to this thread if it does.

We know there are more ways of making the view counter more accurate. For example, someone recommended refresh the IP lock every 30 minutes. We will consider all your suggestions for future updates.

There is no perfect system, but we are working to make it as good as possible.
