Namco...
Another reason Namco is unfair. :S
Why buy a song if you can listen for free?
Although, is plain old copyright infringement a felony?
Well personally listening to kareoke or a cover makes want the original

This can't be good.
Here's what could happen if the bill gets passed:
1. The government warns everyone to take down their YouTube videos and other media that contain copyrighted materials.
2. The majority of YouTubers protest and refuse to take down their vids.
3. The government interferes and sues YouTube unless it bans users with infringing content.
4. YouTube is forced to take action and 99.9% of its videos are removed.
5. As a result, YouTube loses 99.9% of its user traffic, starting a chain reaction of media removal from the internets.
6. Over time, more and more 'infringing' content is removed, effectively starting the decay of the internets, which will continue until the only content left on the internets is 'official.' The number of videos is no longer over 9000; thus, nobody really cares about the internets.
7. Since the internets are boring, Chuck Norris gets bored with the world and roundhouse kicks himself.
8. The universe implodes.
9. ???
10. Profit!
MORAL: If this bill gets passed, the universe will cease to exist.
Any questions?
Just one.

They'd have to have some good justification to remove that much content from the internet. Also, what about foreign sites?

Perhaps Operation AntiSec is going to shift their attention to this.
Lets hope.

This is why I hate the government trying to make our lives "better."
Now, who's life would be better to pass a law like that? Nobody. Just the companies that make the songs. Stupid big businesses >:P

GLaDOS2 here, borrowing the account. I am unable to wait to become a Scratcher to say this:
I'm gonna get shut down! And the music that usually calms me isn't working.
(It's the music that plays when you look at your history in Spore.)
What am I going to do? I'm gonna get thrown to the scrap heap!!

Surely you can't be serious!

Meanwhile, at congress.
And yet they're not gonna do anything about serious problems.

No offense but.

I think the bill says you will
Only be prosecuted if it affects and damages the sales by $1500 Which not many videos will do
Also, some games will automatically give permission for let's plays and things in their terms and conditions.

Who, GLaDOS2? Or the bill? GLaDOS2 is serious, the bill is, too.

This is just awful. There's a line between protecting copyrights and trying to end internet freedom entirely.
I'm sure this goes against what the DMCA was made to do, right?

I know! But what will GLaDOS2 do? She might get shut down and thrown to the scrap heap!

Let us petition and send our reasoning to the government, if that dosen't work then RIOT!!!!!

The best thing to do is to support the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation eff.org) and Lawrence Lessig.
And rioting doesn't help your cause.
