Installing Squeak on a school network

I am looking to get Squeak (for Windows) installed in the school where I teach. The system administrator has evaluated the software and cannot see a way to stop the users having access to the C drive with the open/save commands. Access to the C drive is blocked in other programs that use the standard Windows open dialog. Is there any way to configure Scratch to stop the kids seeing, and navigating the C drive?

Re: Installing Squeak on a school network

Unfortunately, in the current version of Scratch there is no way to block access to the C: drive. (In some settings, people actually need access to the C: drive.) I hope that this does not make Scratch unacceptable to your system administrator. As you probably know, Scratch also has shortcut buttons to the user's desktop and documents folders so maybe you could just instruct kids to only save projects in those places?
