Are you referring to the JustUsBoys thing? I was very worried! How did they get everyone's emails?
It was JustUsBoys?
I used my mom's email when registering, and she asked me "Did you sign up for JustUsBoys last night?"...

Anyone who got the spoof emails - try googling for your email address, to see if it can be found publicly (not just on the Scratch website).
Also - at least in one case - we found that one email address that someone said they had only used for Scratch had also been used to join a Scratcher-created punbb hosted forum. Remember when those were really popular? At least in some cases, those forums make the email addresses of their users public. So it'd be a good idea to see if you can find your email address published there.

Also, if you post your email on the web or you send it to someone else, you are increasing the chances of getting spam/spoofs. It's one of those things you have to learn to be more careful about.
i wish i had spam
[email address removed by moderator who has too much time on there hands]

0.0 I was one of them.

Everyone should make sure that all affected users should make sure every site you have registered does not publicly display your email, and disallows emails towards you. Also make sure you have not posted your email publicly.

This is interesting. I wonder if all the email addresses were found this way?

my email came up with 0 results on google. I was never in danger anyways.

Ahahaha!
I got an email from "andreshmh@scratch.mit.edu". It claimed that due to a technical error, it needed my password or else my account would be lost. I merely chortled and asked him to check the database for my password. I got a very angry reply stating I was banned, but I told the spoofer that apparently their banhammer was malfunctioning, because my account was still there.
I never got any more emails after I sent that. Ehehehehe. Hilarious.
That is so funny. xD

Does the ST have some type of way to find this user? I really don't want to have to get a new email address. There has to be some way to stop this guy.
Edit: I'm being stupid. I should keep my current email for site registrations, create a completely new email that will never be given out via the internet, and I will give this new email to only friends that I've met in person.

What I was trying to say.
