Cars 2- What did you think? :D

So, today June 24, 2011 the sequal to Disney Pixar's film Cars came out! As of posting this thread, I haven't seen it yet. I will be seeing it today though!

So, dicuss what you thought of Cars 2, the attached short Hawiian Vacation, and the teaser trailer for next year's release from Pixar, Brave!

Please note that this thread may contain a plethora of SPOILERES so read at your own risk! Also, please no comments along the lines of "This movie was horrible!" without explaining why you didn't like itOk? Thank you  smile

Also, according to the Disney Blog, those of you who see Cars 2 in 3D will also be seeing the first four minutes of The Lion King in 3D!! Whoa  big_smile  I don't know how well classic 2D animation will pan out into the 3rd Dimension, but it sounds cool! I hope that this applies to IMAX 3D showings of Cars 2 as that is how I'm seeing Pixar's latest film!

For those of you who may be seeing Cars 2 in regular format (aka- not 3D) you will not be seeing the Brave trailer as it is only running in front of the 3D showings apparently. However... It's now online! So pretty....  big_smile

I really want to watch it, but I can't, because I like saving money, so I'll maybe rent it on Redbox when it comes out to DVD, or watch it the 8th week it's in theaters, where not so much people come, since they've already seen it.

Looks good to me.

It's gotten mixed reviews, many are very positive, but the negative ones that complain about too much Mater make it Pixar's worst reviewed film. Honestly, Lightning McQueen is so boring all he does is go around a track a bunch of times.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Im not gonna bother watching it in theaters. Maybe at a friends house when it's on DVD. Spread the pain around.

You know, I never understood the modern difference in seeing IMAX.

A long time ago the screen wrapped around you/the wall and it could make you feel like your moving but now the only difference is you have to move your eyes cause the screens to big to see it all at once.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

I haven't seen it yet, but it doesn't look like the masterpieces pixar usually makes. The story line sounds so cliche.

What's weird is that people say Cars was the worst Pixar movie. Really? I actually liked Cars a lot.

It was actually a lot better then it sounds. Mater is a good secret agent, and actually solves the crime in the end. I didn't hear about Brave though.
