Alright!  big_smile

Why don't you give me some questions now, for me to answer on text first and then speaking them?  smile

Also. I'll try to record the bass for our 2 original song ideas so far soon. I suppose we should leave them as they are right now, with no changes. jslomba, hpotter134, can you record your respective tracks as well?

I'm going to be up in Canada, so I'll do them when I get back next weekend.

Oh ok, have a great time in Canada then  wink  I would've recorded the tracks today, but my bass is missing a string and I'll buy new ones tomorrow.

Why did you have the idea to create the band?

Why was this song chosen?

What are the band's future plans?

Backup is complete.

You'll have to edit out a little bit at the beginning for it to sync up to the rest of the song.

I was inspired when I saw Bluestribute's plans for a Scratch band. It didn't work out too well, so I thought, why not give it another try? Then I posted on the Collaboration forum and we got the band together.

designer45 suggested we recorded, among some others, the song "My Voice to You" by Noteflight user Dennis Yang. We loved it, it's a pretty catchy song.

Personally, I thought of recording an EP with 4 or so songs, and release it for free, advertising mostly on the Scratch website.

(I'll try to record that as soon as I can. It'll be the first time I'll actually use my mic haha.)

Great, downloading now  big_smile

EDIT: Here's a preview. I also uploaded the full version but right now only I, jslomba, designer45 and hpotter134 should be able to listen to it, can you? Also veggieman, if you have a SoundCloud account I can let you download it too.

Btw I need to get the pass for the FrozenCoco Scratch account somehow, either that or I send designer45 the project to upload.

Re: Frozen Coco - A Scratch Band

Well... leebee just decided to quit Scratch. I just asked her if she's still interested in the band though.

I'm considering releasing My Voice to You in both SoundCloud and Scratch this Friday. And on the night (unless veggieman decides otherwise), veggieradio should broadcast it along with the interview.

EDIT: designer45... Perhaps we could make something out of this incomplete song of yours for our EP or whatever we end up making?  wink

This band seems to be dying. :c Scratchazine is inactive right now and veggieman hasn't said anything about playing My Voice to You on veggieradio, so should we just release it now? I even have the project done, just a background with the music  big_smile

Yeah, sorry, I should be recording When I'm Beside You, but I've been rather busy. I'll see if I can get to it tomorrow.

My Voice To You sounds great though, you're really good at mixing. And kudos to jslomba too, I was having my doubts about your drum-ability on your first couple takes, but I really like the sound of the drums now  smile

I should too but my bass is missing a string D: And I agree on that last thing, jslomba's first takes sound pretty sloppy but it sounds pretty good when you put the rest of the band in  big_smile

I'm back from Canada! looks like I'm the only one besides designer45 who can record this right now., XD

btw, the sorta finished version of My Voice To You sounds really good. SM has been advertizing you, so that will get the band a lot of fame.

Oh, he used my music and linked to my stuff it seems  tongue  We should post the song soon then, but if I don't have the pass to the FrozenCoco account I guess I'll have to post the project under my account (which could be a good thing anyway, since my account is a bit popular  tongue ). I'll go do that right now.

Yay for release! I did some quick editing on the cover image, like making it darker and adding the penguin. I put it in my signature. Do you like it?

Ok, thanks for your opinion  smile

But I think it's kind of hard to see the way it is....I can barely see the drawings of the instruments when I look at the small image in technoguyx's signature...is there a way we can do that without you, uh, hating it?  tongue

tbh I didn't really like it... the penguin would be a good addition, yeah, but the image looks too "intense", and that doesn't really fit the song, or a pencil drawing either.  tongue  I see your point about it being kinda hard to distinguish the instruments, though.

Also I bought new bass strings :3 I'll record When I'm Besides You and maybe jslomba's song idea tomorrow. I'll e-mail designer45 the project too, I guess  tongue

Ignoring jslomba, we could use a permanent keyboardist/pianist (right now hpotter134 plays both guitar and keys), or a talented graphic artist (since none of us is that good at it lol). If you are either we could see if you could join us  smile

Looks a little blue/purple now ._.

EDIT: More song ideas, this time for a sad ballad. Thoughts? Btw the bass intro sounds much better when played IRL, Noteflight's soundbank kinda butchers it.  hmm

Yes. Maybe I'll be able to play keys sometime in the future when I FINALLY get a keyboard that I can put right up next to the computer. I've got this gargantuan one in my living room, and the computer is on the second floor. I'm issued a laptop for school, but that stays at school. Maybe if I got my band teacher's permission to use his...

But school doesn't start until 8/30, which is 17 days away. So yeah, find a different stand-in keys.

I guess I like it. I have another idea for a song, it's just a basic piano part that I think we can turn into a complete song somehow.

Well, Iron Maiden's logo and mascot appears on the art of pretty much every album of their's  tongue  I think the penguin looks good there though, as a small thumbnail at least.

Do you want to be in as a keyboardist or graphic artist? Either way you'll have to show us what you can do  wink

Also I pretty much completed my song idea, "Gone", it's only missing some backup vocals. Adding it to the main post.

EDIT: OMGOMGOMG I almost forgot, My Voice to You may get curated in Monday ;D Any links I should put up in the project notes? I'm considering just having the website, since a link to our SoundCloud is already available.

EDIT2: nvm that, I just remembered we have the project in the FrozenCoco account instead. Needs the SoundCloud link though, I'll add that in a comment.
