What should i do?

So, i've been collaborating with this user i know in real life. One of their projects is getting popular, and so are a bunch of her others. But really, she tells me what to do and I do all the art and programming. All she does is credit me with an asterisk ( * ) or two, but doesnt even put at the bottom of the notes:

* Credit to pokemongardevoir.

All she does is:

Hope u liked my project!**

I'm tired of not getting the credit I deserve. I tried talking to her, but she still won't credit me more. But I don't know what to do! Should I flag those projects, or will i get in trouble? Should I talk to her again? But she'll still say no!

I'm so confused and upset by this. I want to stop working with her, but helping her with scratch is the only way to get her to be nice to me. Plus, stopping our collabs will make her remove the asterisks on the projects I helped on, and then i'd have no credit whatsoever! But it's not like I have any now....

I'm not one for giving relationship advice, but that doesn't sound like a very good friend to me.

If you do so much of the work, why not make your own projects and post them on your account?

Well,  she's a little more then a friend.
She's kinda well, if i say this it's like naming names and i don't want to be naming names and stuff, but she's my sister, so...

Because she doesn't let me on her computer unless i'm helping her (and then she's watching my every move) so i don't get a chance. and if i did get that chance, this would happen:

1: People would accuse me of stealing.
2: She would get soooooo angry, and probably block me, make mean stuff about me, comment mean stuff to me, and worst of all.... I"D HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER FOR EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!!!

Re: What should i do?

dude thats happend to me on my other account (thats why i deleted it) what i basiclly did was make a game too hard for my brother to win, but other people could. and when you did win, it would say "100% credit to (my other account)" and people... well, people are like a herd of sheep. they beleive one thing until someone else tells them otherwise. thats why it works. and your sister... well, prank her. my favorite is the popsicle trick. get a popsicle from the fridge and cut it top and bottom, leaving just little flaps so when you "close" them, they look like part of a regular popsicle, but when you pick it up, the popsicle falls out. hehehe....

Yes, If I were you I wouldn't really want to be friends with him/her.

Post them on your account stating what you did and what your friend did. Remember that the idea for the game is a very important part of the game as well!  big_smile

Listen, what you're doing is letting your sister push you around, and that's not cool. I don't know if that's your only chance to use the computer, but you shouldn't put up with that.

Re: What should i do?

I looked at one of your recent joint projects and you are mentioned in the credit page - so that looks like you are making progress!  If you continue to have trouble, you might want to get a parent involved.

Normally, I'd recommend flagging the projects but since you are sharing a computer and probably just working on the same Scratch file before it's uploaded to the site, it's not going to be clear from the projects on the site that there is a credit stealing issue.  You could make it clearer by uploading all your work to the site and requiring that your sister download it before including it in her work (keep your Scratch files hidden or on a removable drive maybe)...that would establish "authorship" of sprites and scripts and make it easier for the Scratch Team to see the problem, if it continues.

Re: What should i do?

If sister is older: Wait 'till she goes to a party and forgets to log off. What OS is she running?

If windows XP: safe mode, administrator

If no:  sad

If sister is younger: push her off the computer, close door on her, get data, hackeh, etc.

he may be younger, but she's not going to put up with that and i'm likely to lose a few teeth if i do that.

If she's younger, you've come to the right person. Give me a day and I'll give you a purely diabolical plot to eradicate your sister's wrongdoings and finally obliterate my purely random urge to use overly descriptive and intellectual geek language.  big_smile

Who's forcing you to make projects for her? Go on strike until her popularity-starved brain decides to give more credit to you. Also: How did you start this thread if your sister watches your every move? Something isn't right....

Couldn't you just.... do your own projects on your own computer? What's the Scratch username of your sister anyway? I want to see how many views they have.

Oh, yeah, and if your sister takes the credit you currently have off the projects, flag them. FLAG EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Thank you.  cool

If you have your own computer and she's not giving you credit for the "collabs" you do, don't help her anymore until she starts giving you proper credit. I don't see what she can possibly do besides throw a fit, and then you can just ignore it.

I believe that was in response to pushing their sister off the computer, which is obviously a bad course of action. Again, if you have your own computer, don't help them. Simple as that.
