Searching for voice actors for Peanuts style animation.
Hi, my name is Patrick.
I'm working on a hand drawn animation inspired by the Peanuts animated specials, and am looking for a voice to fit the part. The title of the animation is Battles. Seeing as I'm new, I apparently cannot post links to anything (which doesn't help), so if you want to see examples, you'll have to copy and paste the URLs.
This is ideally what this'll look like.

Essentially, I have filled out all the roles except one, and I am now scouting about for someone to fill the final. Because of the nature of this short (being Peanuts like in sincerity), I am trying to find a voice that matches the age of the characters, seeing as all Peanuts shorts were voiced by children.
The charcter I need voiced is Kine the Fish, as seen in the link:

Kine (as in "whine") is that main character of the short, and one of Kirby's friends from the Kirby series. In this particular series, Kine is represented as a 13 year old boy, whos voice is ideally light to medium light in pitch.
While I may not be entirely aware of the userbase here compared to sites such as the Voice Acting Club, I was wondering if there were any males here aged 10-16 or had any siblings/cousins who might be able to try out for the part. It would be great if I could get that kind of authenticity into the voice as opposed to resorting to using someone much older.
At any rate, I wouldn't mind if the voice sounded like either Charlie Brown or Linus, or even somewhere in between.

Huh. That's actually brilliant. I'm no fan of nasty comments myself, so I can get behind that.
But anyway, I probably should've mentioned that if anyone could do the voices, where they'd have to send them. And you know what, if you're a girl, that's fine too. I just need something that works, as I'm in the middle of deciding on who got what part (the other ones) right now. I probably need any Kine auditions ASAP (no pressure, though, just saying sooner is a lot better than later).
Using what I posted at the VAC, if you could use the following audition lines:
"I think you went too far"
"Love is a very strange thing"
And send auditions to me at patkdeb [at] gmail [dot] com, I'd be really appreciative of it. When you read the lines, though, try to stay relaxed and as natural as possible, and don't over emphasize too much. When you watch the Peanuts shorts, you know just how understated and down to earth the dialogue is. I'm looking for that same thing.

A bump for last call. I have to wrap up this decision making process by tomorrow, most likely in the morning.
So for anybody who'd like to audition, I'd urge for you to give it a go before then. And if you don't have access to a microphone right now, if could send (a link to) a previous sample or demo of voice work (provided you have any), that'll be good enough to get an idea.
