My son have an assignment in school about SCRATCH.I don't have any idea about it because the book they used in the last school year was different from their book they presently use.I don't know how to use scratch to create a program.Can you help me?

Well, there hasn't been much of a change with the interface of Scratch, so chances are that whatever information is in the old book is just as good as whatever information is present in the book your son is using right now.
You can check out the Getting Started Guide, as a way to familiarize yourself with Scratch again.
