Is Scratch 2.0 going to be 1.4 compatible?

I've heard rumours that once 2.0 comes out you can continue with your 1.4 saved projects on it. Just wanted to know.

Re: Is Scratch 2.0 going to be 1.4 compatible?

According to the FAQ... (http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Scratch2FAQ)

Scratch 2.0 FAQ wrote:

Yes. Scratch 2.0 will open older Scratch projects and will support all the features of Scratch 1.4. One exception is that Scratch 2.0 won't support as many musical instrument and drum sounds as Scratch 1.4. That is because Flash does not currently support a MIDI synthesizer so we've had to write our own.

So I think your answer here is a definite yes.  smile
