I just got a phone call, where there was a random computer-generated voice that asked for me to press the 1 button on the phone. I pressed it, and it just randomly said "Exercise, Exercise, Exercise. It is now safe for staff members to move about the building. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise." Then it asked me to press the 1 button on the phone when I fnished listening to the message.
Creepy, and totally real D: I have no idea what this means. Discuss.

You would just make it like you would make other automated messages, except it would be a prank.

My school as an automated alert system that asks people to press numbers to confirm that they have listened to the message when they pick up the phone. I'd assume you probably got something like that and your phone number was listed by accident/mistake/prank.
... although I have no idea where "exercise" comes in.

Maybe exercise means the call was for an emergency exercise or something.

If you type #67 before the other person's number it blocks yours

"Unavailable"...? I've read bad stuff about that but I don't really believe it. Supposedly it can damage your phone or some nonsense like that.

I just found out what it was!
My mom works for the government, and her phone # calls both the home number and her work number, and at her work there was a practice gunman shooting thing, and that was saying that the fake-threat was over.

It means that this was just a test of the system, not a real alert.
