Don't listen to someone who promises love-its, that's usually a ploy to make you view and love their own projects.
Just working really hard on projects and trying to make them enjoyable to the viewer is the best and most respectable way to earn them; I never ask for them but get a good amount per project.

What many people do is just ask for love-its either within the project or in the notes. I've never done it - it never seemed right to try to gain love-its by asking, when they're opinion-based; it seemed to me that a good project would by itself receive love its. But anyway, that's a method you could use, just put a gentle reminder to visitors to love it (e.g. If you love it, love it!)
Maybe this should be in show-n-tell?

So you want more love it's? Here's my advice:
Make projects that you worked hard on and learn new things on scratch!
Add lots of tags to your projects so people can find them!
Make friends on scratch who go on!
Don't push yourself to get love it's! They don't come very easily! It only matters if YOU love your projects, not other people!

i would love-it projects that are original and have good programming.

Exactly! I like projects that are original, have good programming, OR have good graphics and are fun to play. I also love-it projects that I think the scratcher has put a lot of effort into

If your projects are really good, you'll just have to try and get views - then the viewers will love-it
And of course, the more viewers, the more love-its.
So... How to get your projects and galleries popular
