Fads are just fads, some people like it some don't. My approach to fads that we don't enjoy is to just avoid them when we can, like a bad dish. if you we're given a dish you didn't like, wouldn't you stop eating it instead of continuing to gulp it down? 
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease
