Minimalist art, perhaps? I've always though the thought put into it counts, even if it isn't doesn't take much to create the original work:

Yeah, I can agree with that statement. Much of the art today is based mostly on fanart (like anime) or something evil (like emo). Back then there was a much pleasant array of art.

yes i draw minimalist animals like icons a ton so i'm not saying it's bad necessarily


but i can admit they take about 1 minute of laziness


but making it so simple while still trying to catch the main idea and essence may be no small feat (ex. business logos)
