Frustrated by that pesky 360 rule? Well, instead of staring blankly at your screen for those six minutes, try these suggestions:
1) Open a new tab and look at the projects on the main website! This is a good way to kill some time when you want to post and to find some cool projects. Also, commenting, favorting, and just generally being active on the main site could go towards your progress to becoming a full-fledged Scratcher!
2) Write a longer, more meaningful post than just "cool" or some other one-word response!
3) Open the scratch program and work on a project tongue

Just something I wanted to share as I see new scratchers get frustrated with this easily (especially when they have another account that is Scratcher Status tongue wink )

Any other suggestions? smile

When I was a new scratcher, I would go and read misc. and wonder what it would be like to post on there tongue

Yeah, I have an alternate account and I get REALLY angry whenever it 360-second-rules me.

yeah... well, Lightnin asked if i wanted to keep doing it and i said no because i had a lot of other stuff going on. i might help out more this summer...

You know how when you try to post 2 different messages within 60 second SPF each other you get a message telling you that you can't post until 60 second have passed? New scratchers have to wait 360 seconds.

Ah. I don't think that's really fair. Because if you're a new scratcher you will probably visit the forums to ask for help.

Well, I suppose so. However, the rule was implemented to keep spammers from being able to fill up the forums with spam that the moderators and scratch team would later have to clean up. Most New Scratchers are able to get Scratcher status (and therefore getting the 60 instead of 360 rule) fairly quickly as long as they are active and helpful. *wink wink*

Or you mean submitting projects to it? Mehhhhhhhhh I don't make projects just for that and my already existing projects don't usually fit the themes

I have one:
Practice writing a story. This usually takes up 6 minutes if it's a good story. If you still have to wait, revise it. You get to post again, plus you have a good story. Win win.

I guess so, because someone could make a spam account and spam the whole place....
