9. Oh my gosh DON'T SWEAR. Many people wouldn't care whether you swore or not, but believe me, you'd get 10x the fans if you don't. And swearing DOES NOT make you cool. Eminem, 'nuff said. I hate Eminem. Dx I'd like him better if he didn't swear. The swearing didn't make him cool. The songs? Maybe.

10. Have fun! If you don't like the song, discard it and write a new one. yes!

I beg to differ. onerepublic, the fray, the all-american rejects, taking back sunday, the gorillaz, b.o.b., coldplay, cage the elephant, train, modest mouse, MGMT, p!nk, adele, I can about 50 more if you want me to, but point is, people rant about today's music and how bad it is, but it's not really. Just cause you like something doesn't mean everyone will like it. And swearing doesn't mean a song is going to be horrible. Lil wayne swears and people love him. Wiz Kalifa, radiohead, p!nk, LMFAO all swear and they have a huge number of fans.
