Darker, if the server is running in Offline mode, it's extremely unsecure. Any cracked user can log in with whatever username they wish, as cracked MC clients allow the user to set their username to their own choice. You need to get a plugin like AuthMe that asks users for a password that they set the first time they login before allowing them to move.

So here's the plan:

When 1.8 comes out, we will get a new world and run in vanilla until bukkit updates. We may or may not be running in offline mode at this time. Once bukkit updates I'll transfer the world back to a bukkit-running profile. It might be a good idea to put your stuff in chests before I do this, just in case.

I hope this transition can be easy and smooth.

Hm...

I was thinking about using a terrain generator for the new world to create some interesting/bizarre terrain and liven gameplay and building up a bit.

Unfortunately the terrain generator is a plugin, and so will not work with vanilla minecraft 1.8. sad

The-Whiz wants to stop the server because nobody ever plays anymore! Wellll... We can change that. We only have the regulars right now. But, there are THOUSANDS of MC'ers on scratch. Werd, you're famous, astro is famous too(but I know he's to famous to help)! So my proposition, is before 1.8 we all advertise on scratch for this MC server. How 'bout it?
