My first play failed epicly, I did everything you should, then I ran out of time, so I built myself a little house in the side of a mountain, but didn't have enough wood for a door, so I built a stone wall, left one block in the ceiling out so I could see the the sky, went over to the cornner to do some crafting, did that then went to the bathroom, came back just in time to see a crepper hop in through the hole and blow me up, scared my so bad I didn't play on anthing other than peaceful for about a week, but I'm not addicted, I do play other games... sometimes...

Welcome to the club, Jack. I, like you probably, saw the mass uprising in minecraft topics and took my chance. That was 5 months ago. It's as good as it was then.

Is it better though?

I find it kind of funny the mount of updates that just happened lately though, Notch says he's stopped now.

I have the game and I'm not adddicted xD I like Minecraft Classic better, though once in a while I'll open up Beta and have a play.

It is indeed entertaining for such a mild game. Single player got old after, like, 2 months of playing on hard, because, basically, then I had everything. Multi-player was a new experience. I'm still playing on one of my country's servers. I've never built anything extremely impressive, though I've always liked building aesthetically pleasing homes.

I got the game a few weeks ago. My first night was spent hiding in a 4x2x1 sealed off hole in the dirt without so much as a torch. I just sat there and dug out a block every minute to check the time and then replaced it until it was daytime. After that I read the wiki and checked out a beginner's guide, which helped a lot.
I used to play on peaceful because a creeper came from behind me while I was leaving my house and it knocked out my lava containment structure, killing me and flooding half my cellar with the stuff. I've got a better fencing system and am a little more experienced now though, so I play on normal.

Hey Jack, what mods do you have installed?

I played minecraft a few times but I never really got what's so fun about mining. I wouldn't waste 10 dollars on it, let alone 20

Then why are you on Scratch, I mean, what's so fun about scratching yourself?

You tend to get a good feeling while scratching, and you don't stop because then it starts to hurt.

I've never even opened the program before or downloaded it
