Also, AAS.

Well, I know how to convert a gif image into a sprite, but you have the opposite question. I suggest using Photoshop, Gimp, or a similar program.
RANDOM THOUGHT: If the tomato is a fruit, doesn't that make ketchup a smoothie?

Adobe Flash CS5.5 can do it.
Scratch 2.0- announced April 19, 2010, and now in alpha! It looks cool, and finally has cloning
