They moved to a new server which broke the login system.

Just so you know, I'm editing most of my original code too.

Re: Xenon Inc. Developers' Thread

Spin-Off it is.  I'm most likely going to redo the first script so we don't have any arguments on that part.  And your script doesn't work perfectly with my scripts.

Hardmath, trust me.

The above poster claims he's done much work on this type of thing.

Also, we could have him for other things as well...  roll
This is an incorporation, not just a project thread, after all.  big_smile

Much work on this type of thing? I didn't say that. I said I did much work on this thing!  I spent ten hours on it, and I have a version that works except for random, and have an idea for improved functionality.  And I would love to help with other projects as well. Bbbeb, thanks for vouching for me  wink .  Hardmath, if you don't trust my capabilities, test me!

It's fine.

Trust me, I work on these things too. Made me a slope/max/vertex generator for math class. XD

Re: Xenon Inc. Developers' Thread

OK, I made the following:

*Adding parentheses around ops that need them
*Implied multiplication
*Making sure the amount of left brackets equals the amount of right ones; if there are more left, it adds right to the end, and if more left, displays a simple error (we'll add a real one later) and stops
*Making negative numbers go into the same list entry

Here's the project.  smile

I think it's hpotter's turn to isolate the innermost bracket thing.

Re: Xenon Inc. Developers' Thread

Hey Sci, what're we going to do about functions? I don't think you allowed for those. shouldn't a user input of 5atan(7) return 5 * atan ( 7 ) ?

Well officially I am not part of Xenon, but If you will give credit for it in the final project, I can upload it.

I just want to see your way of doing things  tongue  But if we see something that we like and decide to use it, credit will be given where it is due. So you can upload it, and we'll be on our honor not to steal your code.  smile

Sci, don't worry about fixing the whole function thing. I'm revising your script right now, and by revising, I mostly mean getting rid of "temps", because it's driving me nuts at the moment. The coding is good, but I'm going to rename a few things and shorten a few things. I'll explain better/upload what I've got so far tomorrow, it's late here.

I used temps so we don't clutter up the variables palette.  wink

Ok good.  I will upload as soon as I fix it; when I compiled the scripts into one script it stopped working properly.  wink

temps are temporary files.  Her sci was using them as all the variables at once, so that the variables palette would not be cluttered.

Hpotter; how about I will submit the version that works, and if you like it, I will try or maybe you will compile it into one script?

You mean like using the same variable for different things? I love doing that!
