I'm sure the ST is all aware of people's rants on the Front Page. After hours of thought, an idea struck:
The ST polices what goes on to the featured section of the front page. Why not have the same protocol on other sections? On the top viewed, loved, and remixed sections, if someone gets the front page three times, they are temporarily hidden from it for a certain amount of time. The ST can decide the time interval of different people. If people who have been on the front page too many times get the hidden trigger, it can be a longer amount of time. If it's someone relatively new, it can be a shorter interval. The idea is to add variety to the front page, without the old ones shriveling the available space. Tell me your opinions.

Bump.
@mathematics: It probably will. However, we're getting tired of them already.

Support. I'm a contradiction now!

Agree! Or have it pick from the top (insert number here) and rotate with every refresh like newest and SDS does!

Now when will it be out "Under Review"? scmb1 is gonna revolutionize Scratch soon.

Haven't brought this up in a while.

I like this idea, not only would it help people from saying that happens with someone, when it really doesn't, but it would probably help. It would be completely fair.

Wow, thanks for advertising my suggestion. I've been off with loads of homework and haven't time to get on Scratch. Thanks for campaigning for me in my absence. We are at 116 votes!

Thanks.
I really think this could become a popular idea.

It's an interesting idea, I think, but I really don't think it's the best option for a solution to the front page. Why?
Well, this would involve a lot of work on the Scratch Team's part, and believe it or not, they're working really hard on developing 2.0 at the moment. Furthermore, it's a tad unfair towards certain people: after all, the front page is meant to show the projects that are the most popular. Now, I'm not saying it's not unfair now, after all, making a breakthrough to he front page is a feat on its own. But I don't think the Scratch Team should be intentionally preventing certain people from reaching the front page unless said project is borderline.
Other than those two points, yes, I do agree the front page needs a revamp. However, I prefer the ideas of AddZero's FaveTags and… oh, to be honest I forget the other suggestion! But it was made by scmb, I think. Anyone know what it was?

I think you mean the one where the projects on the front page rotate among the top 5-10 in each category.

That's the one. Although, if I remember correctly, it was the top 10. I may be wrong, though.

I wasn't sure either when I posted that, but I checked now, and it is the top 10.

Hola. I am obviously on the wrong account but...
The number 10 is just a fill-in. I suggested anywhere from 5 to 30. I think 10 would work well though.
