Scratch Project Detector

I made this app quite quickly, it allows you to see if a user has uploaded any new projects since you last looked. If there's a Scratch cat face then there's a new project avaliable for you to see.

http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/9867/imagekla.png

To find out if there's a new project just run the program. The best part of the program is if you put it under start up it will tell you everytime you log in.

Here are some instructions on putting it in your start up file.

==================== neutral |||||||||||||||||||||||||============================
How to run at start up (You will need admin privileges)
1.    Install the program first
2.    Search for a file called “Startup” its location should have your username in it.
3.    Open the start up file and move the window of to the side.
4.    Search for a program called “Scratch Project Detector”
5.    Copy a shortcut on to your desktop.
6.    Now move the shortcut to the start up file.
The program will now start up when you log in. When you see the Scratch Cats face then the user has uploaded a new project. It may take a few minutes to update depending on how many other programs also start when you log in.
If you want to check for new projects run the program again. Type in a Scratch username to start following them.

Have you seen what it's meant to do?

I will not download for 2 reasons:
1. Uses the clunky .NET framework
2. I don't know if it is dial-up compatible

Wow for 2 reasons:
1.The .NET is better than most compilers and frameworks and code period.
2.IDK

Re: Scratch Project Detector

Looks interesting, but an obvious feature to add would be checking certain users periodically - whoever used the project decides who to stalk ( tongue ) this way, and how often should the detector update.

Hey, that's a good name actually... ScratchStalk(er).  lol

Re: Scratch Project Detector

I could update it to have a list of Scratchers.
It could be updated to allow the user when they want to check for new projects (At the moment it only checks when it starts)
The Scratch Cat's face when hovered over by the mouse will give a list of all Scratchers with new projects.
It could have links to the new projects for you to click.

Please say if you want these things implemented in version 2.
