Minecraft is a really cool online game. You can craft stuff like swords and pickaxes, and you mine in the ground for supplies. At night monsters come out, and you need to use your supplies to make a shelter before that happens. I would definitely recommend it!

I meant "make mines". "Find dungeons".
@tuffghost-I do not consider a PC a gaming console, you can do more than just play games on it. Now, Xbox and stuff like that, (don't say "you can chat on it!")...
And portal 2 did not come out on all the consoles.

Minecraft is a game taking place in a randomly generated 3D world composed of blocks. These blocks can be broken, placed, and crafted into other blocks. There is also combat, as monsters spawn in the dark, and multiplayer servers often allow PvP combat. There is a huge range of blocks, from simple dirt to wires (redstone) which somebody has built a computer with. Combat is much simpler, as there are 20 points of health, and 5 types of swords that do different amounts of damage. Many blocks have to be created through a crafting table, which can be made with wood. Ores must be smelted at furnaces, and the resulting metal can be used to create items such as minecart tracks and armor. There are also many mods for minecraft which allow:
-more weapons
-mob taming
-more creatures
-more metals
-NPC humans
-more blocks
-an entire new game mode (adventurecraft)
-skills
and much more. There are no skills, there is no grinding etc. in normal minecraft.
tl;dr: playing with blocks and stabbing stuff

It's a game, not the best graphics.
2 things,
1. Graphics are everything
2. Minecraft was designed to be blocky, and to go hand in hand with that,t he textures they used were made to be pixely/pixelated.
