Scratch Club

Scratch Club will update (roughly) every two weeks. It will begin as a gallery with a theme and have one or two example projects inside. Then users can add their own projects during those two weeks, before the next Scratch Club theme is posted.

We want your input for new themes for Scratch Club. The themes need to be creative enough that people will want to make projects using the theme, but also simple enough that beginners can easily make projects too. Just reply to this post with your ideas for themes, and we *may* use your theme for a Scratch Club in the future.

Re: Scratch Club

Not sure how to word it, but "non-violent games" might be a nice topic.

Games that don't require one sprite to do something violent to another sprite, even if that violence is cartoony or abstract.

Even though I never intended it, the majority of my own projects seem to involve somebody being shot, or blown up.  Nice to make people think about alternative game resolutions for a change  wink

Re: Scratch Club

With the chosen moniker "mayhem," you never intended your games to be violent?

Re: Scratch Club

What about a prehistoric theme? That'll be fun to make and funny to watch!

You can also make:
a Future theme
a Candy or Giant Candy theme
a Mythological or Mythological Creatures theme
a Super-duper-ultra-high-tech theme (lol)
a Spooky theme
a Godzilla theme
a Paper Clip theme (I don't know why I love that theme)
a Space theme

Well, that's all I can think of now.  smile

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Scratch Club

How about a platform game gallery? Or a Mario game gallery, or a car gallery, or an animal gallery, or a plane gallery?

Re: Scratch Club

you can use the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page to tell the Scratch Team what your thinking (but the people who are making the decisions for what is on Scratch Club read this forum...trust me)

Re: Scratch Club

One more vote for a Paint gallery.  There are a lot of good ideas in the project files - it would be nice to have them in one place and with different people's ideas all consolidated.

Re: Scratch Club

ok (to the scratch team who saw my suggestions project)  the create graph choses certain position that you can make them go to any of those certain squares.

for example (go to graph square (pick random (1) to (10)

so you dont have to allign them with the x and y

Re: Scratch Club

A Sports theme would be good. I know the paint idea is popular but there arent many varying things you can do for it. Perhaps a movie theme, you have to make a scratch project that sums up one movie in a minute perhaps.

Re: Scratch Club

I not sure if this is advanced, (Sorry if it isn't, it is for me), how do you make a variable box only have the numbers and no name? I think you can paint over it but I've seen projects where they use the box thing I was talking about, but they used a two-color mix backround, which wold take hours to perfectly draw on the computer. Please tell me! I need to do that for one of my projects!  sad
<think[ How do you it??!!
