When making a mod...?

I am thinking of starting a collab on a new Scratch mod, but I don't know Squeak or Smalltalk. So, I need...
a) Advice on the easiest way to make a mod
b) an answer to this question: would it be bad to act as a director and let others be the programmers?
Thanks for you help!

a) Advice on the easiest way to make a mod Look at the Squeak tutorial in the Scratch Wiki. I'll post a link later.
b) an answer to this question: would it be bad to act as a director and let others be the programmers? It could be, but some people are fine with it.
Thanks for you help!
