okay. as you all may know, rufflebee has stopped stopping using grammar. normally, I wouldn't care. but then I realized that when she posts, she sounds less like an 11 year old and more like an adult. Then I realized that I might be sounding younger than I am ( yikes ) or even sounding stupid. It seems to me like there's no reason to appear dumber than you are. People just think you're dumb. (That sounds like it should be in a book of quotes, lol)
So I've decided to leave it up to you guys. *cough*becauseIfeelbetteraboutmyselfwhenyoureplytomystuff*cough* Now, as I'm typing this I'm imagining this page being flooded with "Use grammar now".
I'm just making sure, seriously.

It really doesn't matter. i just use a mix. but even though I use a mix, I stay consistent in each post. Except for this one.

I really don't see what the big deal is about using grammar. I don't think I sound anything like an adult whether I use grammar or not. I'm pretty sure I sound like I'm eleven no matter how I type, but whatever.
Before, I used to type with grammar all the time, then without periods, then without any attempt at grammar at all (To show my appreciation for Dave Strider), then on and off with grammar and now I'm back to grammar. But I find it kind of disturbing that people are watching how I'm typing so closely.

(I can tell you from personal experience, though; sounding stupid is pretty fun. At our last Christmas Party, I lead several family members to believe I am mentally disabled.)

But my point is, you can type how you want.

Haven't you noticed that I use good grammar too? I am 11 and it doesn't matter how you type, it's not like it's gonna define a huge part of who you are. Maybe we just like to spell correctly. And what do you care about how she posts? Why does everyone care about these things? It's not like ruffle's changed her whole life just because she uses grammar now. In my opinion, I think it's good to.

Lots of people happen to use good grammar. People don't usually take note on every forumer they see that properly punctuates or capitalizes.

Though I would like to say this is true, it isn't. No one should care about how you type and no one should care about anyone's grammar (Well for school reports and all it is very important but yeah), but I think we've already proved that people here do. I find that some posts become difficult to read when incorrect grammar is used. I don't claim to have a sufficient knowledge of grammar to be able to write/type correctly 100% of the time, but I think that just trying to type comprehensively (with correct grammar) is a huge blessing to the reader. If not that, just don't try to type with incorrect grammar; there is a difference between not knowing a mistake and deliberately misspelling and using incorrect grammar because it is "cool", you don't want to appear "conformed", or you simply don't want to look through all of those red lines (spellcheck is really cool!).

I care about grammer. Once I didn't capitalize or punctuate properly for a while, and then, I had to write an essay and it was harder. So keep good grammer and life is so much easier.

There was a wide variety of reasons why people stopped using grammar:

1. Laziness
2. Paying homage to Dave
3. The reason you listed; to make a statement
4. Because someone cool was doing it
And so on.
