Hi there,
I have created a game and it works fine when I do run throughs in scratch. This is hard for me to explain, but I'll try.
My game has a spaceship collecting stars. The first star has the number 1 on it - when the spaceship is touching the star and you press 1 on the keyboard the star hides and the second star comes up and this keeps going on and on.
When I'm trying to share the game on the site, however, my spaceship collects the first star and then nothing happens. I've ensured that everything is highlighted or activated, but it's just not working.
I know I must be missing something, but I don't know what it is and I've tried searching the forums or google but I can't figure it out.
Can anybody help? I'm getting extremely frustrated and i'm about ready to throw my computer out the window.
Thanks in advance,

Hey vinyamar, some Scratch projects don't seem to work properly in the online player yet run fine when run offline. This currently hold true for both the beta Flash player and the current Java player (see #6 in Problems that have been resolved already).
If you're seeing your problem in the Java player, try switching over to the beta Flash player first and seeing if the game runs more smoothly. Otherwise, you can do what most others do when encountering this problem - you can leave a note asking for others to download the game in order to play it.
Hope this helps.

So you're saying it doesn't work correctly online? That's a common occurrence with projects in the online player. You can sometimes work around it, but the exact problem is usually hard to find. Do you use broadcasts in that part of the project? That is a common problem online.

i'm not using any broadcasts, so i don't think that's what causing it. i just tried using both players and it is still not getting past collecting the first star. i need to have this uploaded and sent to my professor as it is my huge final project for school!
could the problem be caused by activating the other sprites? i click them to activate them, however i notice when i save the game they are no longer high-lighted. is there a way to permanently activate them to ensure that they will work?
thanks for trying to help! <3

Hmm.... the project is working fine for me in the Flash player. And the code looks fine to me.
Maybe just a bug on your end? Do you still see the same online bugs?
