Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

Tweeleaf's name and design has been itching me (sorry), so here is a new grass bird starter I designed.

http://www.iaza.com/work/110417C/iaza11432736897300.gif

It's name is Pansiwi. It evolves into Hibemu. They are only grass type. The final evolution will be an ostritch.

Wow, that looks great! But it looks more fitting as a second evolution. You should make a simpler version for it's first.

Question: Are you keeping the other starts designs?

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

Yes, but I also need to modify Sharland.

It looks second stage because it's a large sprite. XD

Pansiwi -> Hibemu -> ???
Kiwi Bird -> Emu -> Ostritch

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

I think the first stage should look more like this:
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Tweeleaf-1.gif
Then it evolves into the one you posted, then to some ostrich thingy.

(That sprite is also the best custom I have ever made  big_smile  )

You're sprite just looks like a smaller sprite. As I said, my sprite is just larger.

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

I want to agree with wiimaster, but I really just can't.

BlueRocky, I'll try to remake your sprite to make it smaller. Then it'll look more first-stage.  wink

Oh yeah, and what happened to Silmite?

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

I'll resize it right now to a litter smaller than Gneidon.

Silmite's body is mostly white (you'll know why when you see it) and I have trouble with Nincada's white. I need to try Vigoroth's colors next.

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

Another idea:

I'm pretty sure you're aware of GameFreak's inclusion of hidden "Event Pokémon." Well, we could do something like that. We'd have areas that couldn't be reached normally, and you'd need an item to access them. The problem is that they wouldn't be obtainable in the game (they'd still be in the game's data, however.) To get them, you'd need to download a patch that makes the item appear somewhere in the game. Once you get the item, you can use it to open up a certain area. In that area, there's a Legendary Pokémon. Of course, Legendary Pokémon aren't the only things you could obtain from this method. Trainer battles, exclusive berries, extra story elements, rare Pokémon, and a lot of other stuff could be obtained. In a sense, it's similar to the e-Reader.

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

On that event note, it's weird how they made the event Pokemon Keldeo a unicorn.

No, really. Google it.

I am aware. It's even more strange that's he's a WATER unicorn

On the topic of the pseudo e-Rader events, the trainer battle things goes like this:

Remember that lady in the Sevii Islands who had a blocked-off door in her house? Behind that door is a glitched trainer battle. That was a placeholder for e-Reader battles (that were never released in the US.) When you scanned an e-Reader card, it overwrote the trainer data to become a fightable trainer. The "trainer battle patches" would overwrite that same trainer data.

Re: Pokemon Crimson/Chrome

I love the event idea! The last three pokemon in the Pokedex will be event only.  smile

Pansiwi Descriptions:

Crimson
"Their wings are hidden deep in their leafy fur. Since their wings are small, they cannot fly, but they possess large feet to be able to run far distances.

Chrome
"They have long yellow beaks. When they are hungry, they will stick their beak inside a plant to drink the nectar."

Hm...OK then, maybe the "exclusive berries" thing I mentioned isn't necessary.
