Chances
I fear that many Scratchrs make projects which are good, but never get viewed, so we should make a Random, Recent Scratchr section on the front page which shows 9 Scratchrs which have made recent projects which have not been viewed.

It wasn't recent projects necessarily, but there once was a Surprise Projects row on the front page that always displayed random projects. I'm not sure why it was removed though; maybe inappropriate projects kept showing up?

I believe that was the issue. It have moderators more work, as inappropriate projects do come up on Scratch once in a while but rarely get noticed. This tool gave them more notice.
Maybe one day, if Scratch manages to put a filter in for projects, we will be able to re-install that section back where it belonged.

The problem is, some projects are just one cat saying "hi".
The creators don't quite put too much work in, but there are tons of projects that have tons of effort put into it. Those just deserve to be on the front page.
That's why there's curator and featured row.
There needs to be more though.
