tongue  I don't know... I guess (pi)(e).  That'll have to be a little bonus, the apple crisp constant: 8.53973422.  Remember it well.

LOL.  lol

Wikipedia isn't telling me the value of phi.  hmm

Why not "x mod y"?

Oh, I'll have to do "round (x) to (y)"

Phi is approx. 1.618... Also written as (1+sqrt 5)/2

I think x mod y might allow for some ambiguity, just like sqrt x+y.  What would we do about 5 mod 2+3?  Also, the operation would require spaces...  Maybe we should only permit x%y.

How?
Also, can I please have 5 decimals?

EDIT: 11th page!  yikes

Re: Calling all math lovers and good programmers

Phi is 1.61803399...
Sorry, you're right, we don't need multiple arguments XP.  Mod has to have highest precedence after parentheses though.

EDIT: For this type of math, you can just type it into Google.  Try "phi"!

OK.

WHY didn't I think of Google?
NONEDIT: LOL, Wikipedia comes up first there.  tongue

Rand and round to need multiples though.
EDIT: I'll leave those for the end.

EDIT2: What are sinh & asinh? They look too hard.  hmm

When you download it, prepare for a mountain of <if><else>s[/blocks]! Thirty one to be exact. Plus one repeat.

I put a simple background that says:

Applejack, could you make a square Xenon logo? It's for the gallery image.

Re: Calling all math lovers and good programmers

Everyone.

I found a glitch. To fix it, just add

[delete all of engine]
[delete all of temps]

right below the hat block.

Re: Calling all math lovers and good programmers

For the gallery pic, just crop your sig.
You should also friend all devs and give exclusive permission to the gallery to prevent vandalism.

You wanted a pic. Here's a quick, easy, and nice-looking method. To me, it's a nobrainer.  tongue

Re: Calling all math lovers and good programmers

"sinh" is 'sin hyperbolic".  Darthpickley suggested that we include the hyperbolic functions.  Here's the Wikipedia article.

EDIT: Time to get started on my job.

Re: Calling all math lovers and good programmers

sinh(x)- 0.5(e^x - e^-x)
cosh(x)- 0.5(e^x + e^-x)
tanh(x)- sinh(x)/cosh(x)

asinh(x)- ln (x + sqrt(x^2 + 1) )
acosh(x)- ln (x + sqrt(x^2 - 1) )
atanh(x)- 0.5(ln ( (1+x) / (1-x) ) )

I really don't think we need to include them, though.

I don't think we need them either if you just posted workarounds.

By the way, did you include x^y?

I hope you don't mind if I modify your script.  I may need to for the next step.
